Windfield National School will be skipping around Europe!
Working as a team, each room is travelling to a different European city. This is done by adding together the skips each child does during the day!
This challenge will give the children an opportunity to get familiar with jumping games and tasks, to become familiar with the use of a skipping rope and to learn how to skip using a rope.
Each skip completed by each child individually will be added to our class total over the next four school weeks. (Concluding April 6th)
1 skip = 1 KM on our map.
When we reach each European City we have an opportunity to learn more about it. At the end of the four weeks, we will add together the total amount of skips and the total distance covered by the whole school to see how far the children of Windfield National School got!
Today, Monday 31st March 2025, the children became familiar with skipping and jumping using hula hoops and ropes. Thank you very much to two of our 5th class students who helped in coordinating this activity!
