Creative Schools 2022-2024
Windfield NS has come to the end of our two year Creative Schools journey, nevertheless we will continue to use our Creative Schools Plan and carry on providing creative experiences to pupils.
Creative Schools supports schools like ours in Ireland to put Arts and Creativity at the hearts of children's and young people's lives.
By taking part in this two-year guided journey Windfield NS developed a Creative Schools Plan unique to our own school, and put it into action.
The children’s involvement in planning, decision-making and reflection was central to our journey.
Our Creative School’s journey took place over two school years.
Year 1
- Arts Centre Roscommon Show – Junior Room
- Lego Workshop- All Classes
- Gymnastics- 4 weeks All Classes
- Drumming Workshop – Drumadore All classes
- Gardening, planting, flower beds and Window Boxes – Middle and Senior Room
Year 2
- Arts Centre Roscommon Show – Junior Room
- Clay Workshop Two day workshop – All Classes
- Photography Two day Workshop – Middle and Senior Classes
- Lego Workshop- All Classes
- Woodland Trip – Senior Classes
- Mural and decoration of School Shelter 4 week project – All classes
- Tree Planting – 6th class
